How did this concept of legacy gifting come about?
Let me tell you as your gift has a story to tell.
It was a warm spring day. I gazed out onto dappled shade on the green lawn shifting in time with the breeze as it ruffled the long, spindly leaves in the garden. White butterflies flitted softly over lavender bushes and pincushions and my favourite little Cape White-eyes, Cape Sparrows, and Wagtails sung happily moving up and down their cadences.
A sense of place, beauty, peace, gratitude and timelessness descended.
The stillness allowed my mind to wander and to consider, ‘what is it that you love to do?’
‘To help.’ Well, there are many ways to help, so dig a little deeper.
‘To help enable dignity and a sense of self-worth by helping people to work doing what they love hopefully, which would support their families and build up strong, wholesome communities. To see people not just survive, but to truly thrive and smile.’
Also,
‘To help people see and feel how wonderful it is to live naturally and gently.’
And,
‘To embody, foster and celebrate kindness and beauty.’

Just as in a tumble turn a swimmer kicks off the wall of the pool, I considered what foundation and experience I had to kick off from. Importantly, how could this work within the season of mothering young kids?
My background is an interesting blend of science (BSc), culinary arts (Cordon Bleu qualification), wine studies and eventing client side for the likes of Barclays and EY and agency side for some large FMCG brands.
With the encouragement of my husband, I set up a niche events company that was structured around the framework of values that I hold dear; kindness, natural and environmentally kind living, social upliftment, supporting local businesses and artisans, excellence, beauty and quality.
What transpired was that my event gifting was very well received perhaps because I could tell the story of the goods, who made it, why it mattered and because the goods were different. They were completely natural and luxurious in quality. It made sense to clients to choose this gifting as opposed to a cheaper import. It fostered such a positive cycle in which they got to partake. The local economy was built up, great companies got business and recipients experienced a wonderful product.
I had found a way to help! And I simply love doing it.
Why don’t you join me and let’s leave a legacy together?
